Theme And Presentation

The theme of the Joker Rush slot is a little hard to fathom.

On the one hand, there is an obvious link with playing cards. We have the Joker symbol featuring prominently in the game, and there are also the four suits from a pack of cards, spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs on the reels too.

Yet, there’s other symbols in the game too, such as the Lucky 7 symbol, a stack of gold bars and single, double and treble Bar symbols, which have nothing to do with playing cards.

So, for me, the theme is more a retro-styled slot game, but the star of the show is undoubtedly the eponymous Joker symbol.

The final symbol on the reel is the Joker symbol, which appears on all five reels but which is also the main bonus feature in the base game.

Base Game Bonus Features

As we mentioned above, the Joker symbol is the only bonus feature in the main game, and that is because the Joker is not just the Wild symbol in the base game, but it is also the Scatter symbol, being the trigger for the Free Spins bonus round.

Firstly, the Joker symbol can be landed across all five reels and if you do manage to land the Jokers across the reels on a pay line (together, or with the Lucky 7 symbols), then you will receive the following payouts.

One slightly disappointing aspect of this is that you don’t get any special multiplier bonus for a Joker win.

In addition, the Joker also serves as a Scatter symbol in the game, and you need to land three, four or five of the symbols anywhere across the reels in order to trigger the Free Spins bonus.

It’s important to note that a Scatter trigger does not have to be on a win. You can land the Jokers in a non-winning pattern across the reels and provided you have three, four or five showing, then you will still trigger the Free Spins bonus game.
