PSG won the 2026 Champions League final against Arsenal on penalties. This page keeps the subject and pre-match prediction of our May preview, now beside the recorded outcome. The fixture has finished; the betting prices and Super Winnings Boost originally advertised here are not current.
Arsenal vs PSG: the result
The final took place at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest on 30 May 2026. It finished 1–1 after extra time, with PSG winning the shootout 4–3. UEFA’s match report records Kai Havertz’s sixth-minute opener and Ousmane Dembélé’s equaliser from the penalty spot in the 65th minute.
Neither side added a goal in extra time. During the shootout, Eberechi Eze missed, David Raya saved Nuno Mendes’s attempt and Gabriel sent Arsenal’s final penalty over the bar. UEFA named Vitinha Player of the Match, crediting his control of midfield, particularly after the interval.
What our preview expected
The original pick was PSG 2–1 Arsenal. It did not match the score. Picking the eventual trophy winners is not the same as predicting their winning score or backing them to win in normal time.
Our pre-match argument contrasted PSG’s attacking movement with Arsenal’s defensive organisation. It asked whether Declan Rice could interrupt PSG’s passing, whether Bukayo Saka would find space and how Arsenal’s back line would cope with Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Those were tactical questions posed before kick-off, not a claim that the preview knew the outcome.
The forecast favoured PSG’s attacking options but also described a tight game in which Arsenal could restrict space. A close contest does not retrospectively validate a losing correct-score prediction. The archive retains the missed pick rather than replacing it with 1–1.
The trophy winner was not a normal-time winner
The distinction matters when looking at an old bet slip: PSG lifted the trophy, while the teams were level both after normal time and after extra time. A selection labelled Full Time Result, a trophy-winner selection and a method-of-victory selection ask different questions. Use the accepted market’s wording and period; the article’s prediction alone cannot establish a payout.
The old offers and prices have expired
