bet365’s June 2026 Spanish app-download claim covered September 2025–February 2026. The later verification uses a different period; neither is UK download data.
bet365 reported that its app led downloads in Spain’s online sports-betting category between September 2025 and February 2026, citing Sensor Tower. That was the claim behind the June 2026 news covered here. It concerns a defined Spanish market and reporting period, not all mobile apps or UK downloads.
The official Spanish announcement, dated 11 June 2026 on the current page, attributes the download result to Sensor Tower. It also cites a YouGov study reporting 47% brand recognition in Spain. Those are separate measurements: recognition in a survey is not an app download, and neither figure counts registrations or active customers.
This is reporting of bet365’s published claims, not an independent audit by BCP. The announcement does not provide a total download count or a store-by-store split. “Most downloaded” describes the comparison within its stated category and period; it does not establish that bet365 led every part of the Spanish gambling market.
The official marketing-claims verification page, dated 17 September 2026, now covers 1 August 2025 to 31 August 2026. It describes combined App Store and Google Play downloads in Spain and says bet365 recorded the largest volume among online sports-betting apps within the Sports category.
That is a newer, longer comparison than September 2025–February 2026. It should not silently replace the period in the original June announcement. An updated verification page and an older news report can describe different measurement windows without describing different markets.
The current Spanish news page reports a 4.5-star rating, but its review-count wording differs from the earlier coverage. This article does not repeat an uncertain review total or turn it into a download count. A store rating, a number of reviews and the number of downloads measure different things.
Download leadership alone cannot establish customer satisfaction, retention or account growth. It also does not tell a reader whether an app’s navigation, account controls or market availability will suit their needs. This page reports the dated news; BCP has not conducted a hands-on comparative app test for this article.
No Spanish welcome-offer amount appears here. The app-download announcement does not establish a current promotion or eligibility for someone in another country. UK readers can use BCP’s mobile betting guide for broader app context and the UK account-verification guide for document checks. Those pages do not turn the Spanish download claim into UK market data.
The original June publication date and URL remain unchanged. This updated account separates the original announcement from the later verification and contains no live price, current bonus or forecast of future market share.
