Two and three weeks ago, we saw the first eight Champions League Round of 16 games first leg played across Europe and there were plenty of interesting results to take from those games.
This week, we will see four of those contests decided as the second leg is played, followed by the remaining four Round of 16 second leg ties the following week.
So rather than do two articles, we have put together all eight Round of 16 second leg ties here in context, showing the result of the first leg, how we see the second leg going, and of course we have given you the bets we believe are the best to back for each of the eight games.
All odds we show are from bet365 Sport and were correct at the time of writing although they may have changed in the meantime in the run up to the start of the games, especially those taking place next week.

1st Leg Recap
Benfica’s greater quality finally told in this game as the Portuguese side took the lead early in the second half through Joao Mario’s penalty and then a late David Neres strike gave them a 2-0 lead heading into the home leg.
2nd Leg Preview
After a solid performance in the first leg, it is hard to see Benfica relinquishing control of this tie. In fact, I fully expect the talented and in-form Portuguese side to extend their advantage in the home leg securing a very comfortable win to nil to move smoothly into the quarterfinals.
Our Top Betting Tip – Benfica to win to nil – 5/4 with bet365 Sport.
Chelsea (0) v (1) Borussia Dortmund

1st Leg Recap
Despite putting in one of their better performances under Graham Potter, Chelsea went down to Karim Adeyemi’s 63rd minute strike in Dortmund. The English side were wasteful in front of goal with Havertz and Joao Felix both missing great chances.
2nd Leg Preview
This is a tough one to call. Chelsea got a much needed win at the weekend against Leeds but I do worry that the Dortmund pace on the counter could be a massive edge for the Germans. I can’t see Chelsea losing here, but I also don’t think they have quite enough to win, hence I am going for the draw here and Dortmund progressing.
Our Top Betting Tip – Draw – 13/5 with bet365 Sport

Bayern Munich (1) v (0) Paris St Germain
🔜 Exactly ONE week left, until PSG head to Germany and Allianz Arena to play the 2nd leg of the UCL round of 16 against Bayern Munich. 🔥

1st Leg Recap
Bayern dominated the first hour or so of this game and took the lead through a neat Kingsley Coman finish, but when PSG introduced Mbappe with a third of the game left, they looked much more dangerous and almost forced an equaliser.
2nd Leg Preview
After an incredibly odd first leg which saw the German visitors in total control up until the moment Kylian Mbappe came on, only for the French superstar to turn the game on its head. Mbappe was only half-fit for that game and should be sharper here and if he is he could be the key to PSG getting back into this game and landing the win which will be enough to at least force extra time, or maybe even win the game.
Our Top Betting Tip – Paris St Germain to win – 14/5
Tottenham (0) v (1) AC Milan

1st Leg Recap
Spurs arguably had the better of this game but an inability to create chances against the Milan defence meant that Brahim Diaz’s early goal handed Milan a first leg advantage.
2nd Leg Preview
Tottenham showed enough in Milan to suggest that they can get back in this tie. I really like the bet boost offer from bet365 outlined below as I can see Son/Kane being heavily involved here and yellow cards for both also look an obvious selection.
Our Top Betting Tip – Bet Boost – Son to Score anytime, Kane over 0.5 assists, Both teams to receive a card – Yes – 11/1 with bet365 Bet Boost offer.

FC Porto (0) v (1) Inter Milan

1st Leg Recap
Inter had the better of the possession and more shots on goal in the first leg which saw them eke out a 1-0 lead thanks to Romelu Lukaku’s late winner after Otavio had been sent off for the visitors.
2nd Leg Preview
What kind of Inter Milan will we see in this game? Will it be the one that defeated Liverpool at Anfield last season? If so, Porto could be in for a tough night here. I do fancy the home side to score, but I also feel Inter will match that leading the Italians into the quarterfinals.
Our Top Betting Tip – Draw and both teams to score – 15/4 at bet365.

1st Leg Recap
Riyad Mahrez good form continued as he put City into the lead in Leipzig in the first half but a Josko Gvardiola header brought Leipzig level and sets the tie up delicately for the second leg.
2nd Leg Preview
All games between these two teams have seen both teams score and I think Wednesday’s game will be no different. However, looking at how the first leg went, I can’t see City being beaten at home here. Leipzig may make it difficult by scoring a goal or maybe two, but I still expect City to do enough to win on the night.
Our Top Betting Tip – Manchester City to win and both teams to score – 15/8 at bet365.
Wednesday 15th March
Napoli (2) v (0) Eintracht Frankfurt
Napoli build up play vs Frankfurt in the UCL was top class. They have been class this season.

1st Leg Recap
Goals by Victor Osimhen and Giovanni Di Lorenzo saw Napoli edge to a 2-0 away win over Europa League winners Frankfurt who also had Randal Muani sent off early in the second half.
2nd Leg Preview
Serie A’s runaway leaders produced a clinical display in the first leg to bring a huge advantage back with them for the second leg in Naples. Given their form both domestically and in Europe, it is very hard to see anything other than another very comfortable win for Napoli, who are fast becoming many people’s outside bet to win the Champions League this year.
Our Top Betting Tip – Napoli to win 3-0 – 10/1 with bet365.
Real Madrid (5) v (2) Liverpool

— TC (@totalcristiano) February 25, 2023
1st Leg Recap
A stunning Real Madrid comeback led by Vinicius and Benzema saw them come back from a 2-0 deficit early against Liverpool, securing a stunning 5-2 win on the road to see them put one foot in the quarterfinals.
2nd Leg Preview
Real have a huge advantage from the first leg and even after Liverpool defeating Manchester United 7-0 at the weekend, the Reds would have to put in an even better performance to get the result they need here and Real are too experienced for that. Back Madrid to win a narrower game here by a 2-1 scoreline or similar.
Our Top Betting Tip – Real Madrid to win and both teams to score – 13/5
