Phil Galfond was handed another victory in his ongoing Galfond Challenges last month when Brandon Adams threw in the towel after only 2900 hands but $290,000 in loses plus a $100,000 side bet.
With Galfond's fourth Galond Challenge victory in the books, attention turns to Galfond's next challenge, which is rumored to be none other than Dan “Jungleman” Cates.
The Jungleman vs Galfond match-up would arguably be the most anticipated match thus far. While Galfond's previous opponents have been formidable, none have truly had the name recognition and expected prowess of Jungleman. Galfond's previous victories in the Galfond Challenge have come against Venividi, ActionFreak, Chance Kornuth and Brandon Adams.
This wouldn't be the first time that Cates was involved in a high-profile heads-up match. In fact, Jungleman was involved in one of the first “challenge” matches when he went head to head with Tom Dwan in the durrrr Challenge in 2010. Jungleman is up $1.2 million against Dwan while many wonder, including Cates, whether the match will ever finish.
So what do we know about the Jungleman vs Galfond match so far? Below we break down some frequently asked questions about the next installment of the Galfond Challenge.

Held off on posting this bc I wasn't sure that @junglemandan was serious about battle. Don't open at work or w/ children. Pod: https://t.co/jUmJy0l3mE . Best part is when jungle describes his life during match w Phil (think Russia training in RockyIV, except in a basement). https://t.co/0JohbHE3x4 pic.twitter.com/3qfbqwrW54
