Let’s now take a look at how each of the five days of Royal Ascot are scheduled, with some of our top tips for each of the days listed below.

Royal Ascot Schedule

All Five Days – 2pm – The Royal Procession

On each of the five days of racing, the Royal Procession, led by four beautiful Windsor Grey horses and including the Royal Carriage, will enter the racecourse and come down the Straight Mile.

They will then leave the course and head into the concourse through the Parade Ring and out into the Royal Enclosure.

This famous tradition now dates back almost 200 years and it is seen as the official signal for racing to start, which it does around 30 minutes following the arrivals of the Royal Family.

Given her health issues of late, whether or not the Queen will attend the meeting is not yet known, but she will certainly be keen to as this is one of her most favourite sporting events to attend in any given year, especially Platinum Jubilee year.

Royal Ascot – Day 1 – Tuesday 14th June

  • 2.30pm – The Queen Anne Stakes
  • 3.05pm – The Coventry Stakes
  • 3.40pm – The King’s Stand Stakes
  • 4.20 pm – The St James’s Palace Stakes
  • 5.00pm – The Ascot Stakes Handicap
  • 5.35pm – The Wolferton Stakes
  • 6.10 pm – The Copper Horse Stakes

Our Top Tips for Tuesday

There’s three big Group 1 races on Tuesday in the Queen Anne, King’s Stand and St James’s Palace Stakes but this is a very high quality selection of races to enjoy.

One of my naps for the day is Baaeed (2/7) in the Queen Anne Stakes. He’s the class act in this field and I think he could help get the meeting off to a solid start for punters.

  • 2.30pm – Baaed (2/7) Nap
  • 3.05pm – Blackbeard (4/1)
  • 3.40pm – Arecibo (25/1 – E/W)
  • 4.20pm – Coroebus (4/9)
  • 5.00pm – Arcadian Sunrise (9/1)
  • 5.35pm – Mohaafeth (5/1)
  • 6.10pm – Contact (12/1 – EW)

Royal Ascot – Day 2 – Wednesday 15th June

  • 2.30pm – The Queen Mary Stakes
  • 3.05pm – The Queen’s Vase
  • 3.40pm – The Prince Of Wales’ Stakes
  • 4.20 pm – The Duke of Cambridge Stakes
  • 5.00pm – The Royal Hunt Cup
  • 5.35pm – The Windsor Castle Stakes
  • 6.10 pm – The Kensington Palace Stakes

Our Top Tips for Wednesday

My big tip for Wednesday comes in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at 3.40pm where I feel Bay Bridge (5/4) is set to continue his unbeaten record, though I expect Shahryar, Mishriff, State of Rest and Lord North to push him hard.

  • 2.30pm – Omniqueen (10/1)
  • 3.40pm – Bay Bridge (5/4) Nap
  • 4.20pm – Bashkirova (6/1)
  • 5.00pm – Legend of Dubai (12/1 – EW)

Royal Ascot – Day 3 – Thursday 16th June – Ladies Day

  • 2.30pm – The Norfolk Stakes
  • 3.05pm – The Hampton Court Stakes
  • 3.40pm – The Ribblesdale Stakes
  • 4.20 pm – The Ascot Gold Cup
  • 5.00pm – The Britannia Stakes
  • 5.35pm – The King George V Stakes
  • 6.10 pm – The Buckingham Palace Stakes

Our Top Tips for Thursday

Ladies Day is always a hugely important and fashion-conscious day at Royal Ascot and we have a trio of top tips in the antepost market. I have perhaps erred on the side of sentiment when backing Stradivarius (4/1) in the 4.20pm Ascot Gold Cup, but I do feel the famous horse has one last major run and win in him.

  • 2.30pm – Noble Style (6/1)
  • 3.40pm – Sea Silk Road (10/3)
  • 4.20pm – Stradivarius (4/1)

Royal Ascot – Day 4 – Friday 17th June

  • 2.30pm – The Albany Stakes
  • 3.05pm – The Commonwealth Cup
  • 3.40pm – The Duke of Edinburgh Stakes
  • 4.20 pm – The Coronation Stakes
  • 5.00pm – The Sandringham Stakes
  • 5.35pm – The King Edward VII Stakes
  • 6.10 pm – The Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes

Our Top Tips for Friday

Bet365 has antepost odds for four races on Friday and I have not napped any of them as I think with the fields still not yet decided, there’s plenty of scope for change. However, if the runners named in the four races below start, then I feel all four will stand a very good chance of success.

  • 2.30pm – Mawj (10/3)
  • 3.05pm – Perfect Power (9/2)
  • 4.20pm – Cachet (11/2)
  • 5.35pm – Westover (9/2)

Royal Ascot – Day 5 – Saturday 18th June

  • 2.30pm – The Chesham Stakes
  • 3.05pm – The Jersey Stakes
  • 3.40pm – The Hardwicke Stakes
  • 4.20 pm – The Platinum Jubilee Stakes
  • 5.00pm – The Wokingham Stakes
  • 5.35pm – The Golden Gates Stakes
  • 6.10 pm – The Queen Alexandra Stakes

Our Top Tips for Saturday

My top pick for Saturday’s final day of action comes in the Hardwicke Stakes, with Hurricane Lane (4/6) looking the best of what could potentially be a strong field. I also think Quarantine Dreams (14/1) will get plenty of backers in the Wokingham Stakes, especially those that are looking for a good value each way bet.

  • 3.40pm – Hurricane Lane (4/6) Nap
  • 4.20pm – Home Affairs (9/2)
  • 5.00pm – Quarantine Dreams (14-1 – E/W)

Remember, all prices shown were correct in the Antepost betting markets for Royal Ascot with bet365 Sport at the time of writing, but may have changed in the meantime.

In addition, with many horses declared for multiple races, there may well be some horses that do not run in the race stated, but run in a different race at the meeting.
