How Sic Bo wagers work, why matching triples can defeat Small or Big, and how to check paytables, multipliers and the total cost before betting.

Sic Bo uses three dice. You place a wager on a result shown on the betting grid, then the dice result determines which wagers win. Choosing a box does not change the dice; the paytable and exclusions decide how the game settles your bet.
This beginner guide explains the common wagers and why a high chance of winning one round is not the same as a safe bet. It does not confirm a current bet365 UK title list, promotion or minimum stake.
The Wizard of Odds rules reference describes Small as a total of 4–10 and Big as 11–17, with three matching dice excluded. A roll of 2, 3 and 4 totals 9, so it meets Small. A roll of 3, 3 and 3 also totals 9, but the triple exclusion makes Small lose.
Under Evolution’s Super Sic Bo rules, Odd and Even also lose on any triple. An exact Total bet instead specifies one sum between 4 and 17. Read the label rather than assuming every wager with the same numerical total has the same result.
Evolution describes Single as a chosen face appearing on one, two or all three dice, with a different payout according to the number of matches. A specified Double needs at least two matching dice; its published rules retain the same payout if all three match. A specified Triple needs all three dice to show the chosen face, while Any Triple covers all six matching triples. A two-number combination is another separate wager, not a prediction of the three-dice total.
Paytables differ between versions. Check the actual amounts and which stake each figure applies to, including whether the display includes the returned stake. Do not copy a payout from a different table simply because the wager has a familiar name.
For three independent fair six-sided dice, there are 6 × 6 × 6 = 216 equally likely ordered outcomes. Counting Small’s totals from 4 to 10 and excluding triples leaves 105 winners, or about 48.61%. The other 111 outcomes lose that wager. This is a calculation for those defined rules, not a guarantee about your next round.
If such a wager pays profit of £1 for each winning £1 stake, the theoretical result across all 216 equally likely outcomes is £105 won against £111 lost: a £6 net loss. Real sessions do not run neatly through every outcome once. A larger multiplier on a different bet also does not tell you how often that bet will win.
Evolution’s Super Sic Bo description says it selects multiplier spots after betting closes; a multiplier affects your payout only if your wager wins on a selected spot. Choosing several boxes commits several stakes, not one stake with every possible result covered.
Evolution’s Lightning Sic Bo description adds a 20% fee to the total bet. For a hypothetical £10 of bets under that fee rule, the cost becomes £12. That is a specific supplier example, not a claim that every Sic Bo game charges a fee or that the version is available in your UK bet365 account.
bet365’s UK Game Rules help explains where to find the information icon, Menu or Help in an individual game. Use that panel to check the paytable, bet limits, triple exclusions and any multiplier charge. Ask support about a rule that remains unclear rather than relying on an old review.
BCP’s casino-game comparison explains other formats. Changing games or increasing the next stake does not recover money already lost; Sic Bo offers no guaranteed profit.
