Daniel Lazrus is poker’s newest millionaire

After five days and 5,326 entries, Daniel Lazrus is the winner of the $1,500 Millionaire Maker No Limit Hold’em to take home his second WSOP bracelet. The victory came in front of the PokerGo cameras as he defeated a final table that included Darryl Ronconi ($500,125), Jeffrey Gencarelli ($377,125), Michael Gathy ($288,715) and Ignacio Moron $288,715).

The bracelet is not just his second overall bracelet, but his second this year. Over the summer, Lazrus also won the $3,200 No Limit Hold’em Right Roller Championship ONLINE.

In post-match comments, Lazrus said that this victory feels superior to his previous bracelet.

This one feels much more special. It feels more legitimized than online did, just because it was a different atmosphere. This makes me happy with the decision I’m making of putting a lot of time into poker. The first was an achievement, this feels like THE achievement. I didn’t realize it yet but this is a much greater feeling, I can’t even begin to describe it.

Ryan Leng wins 3rd WSOP bracelet

Ryan Leng is a three-time WSOP bracelet winner after taking down Event #23, the Eight Game Mix 6-Handed on Wednesday night. Leng outlasted 484 players over three days including Connor Drinan heads-up ($85,273), Brett Shaffer ($56,839), Daniel Zack ($38,752) and Schuyler Thornton ($27,038).

Leng’s previous WSOP bracelets came during the $1,500 Bounty No Limit Hold’em Freezeout and the 2021 $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Freezeout online earlier this summer.

Leng credited some good cards in his win after the match: “I’ve been studying mixed games lately. I definitely think the final table, the final two tables, I was certainly nowhere near the best player left in the field. I ran really hot.”

Michael Prendergast wins $600 Pot Limit Deepstack

In Event #24, Michael Prendergast won his first bracelet when he took down the $600 Pot Limit Deepstack on Wednesday night, winning his first WSOP gold bracelet along with a $127,428 1st place prize. Prendergast outlasted 1,572 players over two days including beating Jeffrey Barnes heads-up ($78,755).

Prendergast, who says he does not play a lot of tournaments, focused on playing good hands throughout the tournament. “I decided to just do what I did the entire tournament and wait for a hand that I could hit the nuts with.”
