bet365’s Champions League Tournament Challenge now places players in a league with fellow fans of their club. Here is how Preferred Team works, plus the entry rules and 2026/27 prizes.
bet365 has added a Preferred Team option to its Champions League Tournament Challenge, the predictor game built for it by Incentive Games. Players can now name a favourite club while they play, and the game drops them into a separate league made up of supporters of that club. The two companies announced the feature on 3 November 2026, with the Champions League league phase up to Matchday 4.
The club leagues sit alongside the main Tournament Challenge leaderboards, which is where bet365 lists its prizes. Picking a club adds a second table to follow and leaves a player’s place in the main competition as it was.
Incentive Games chief commercial officer Ahmed Baker said the feature builds “on the loyalty fans already have for their clubs”. A bet365 spokesperson said football “is as much about identity and shared passion as it is about the results on the pitch”.
The game runs in what the companies call key global territories, with standalone versions for Spain, Italy and Greece.
There is no charge to enter, and entry is separate from betting, so bet365’s betting offers do not apply to it. According to bet365’s promotion page, the steps are:
When the game launched in September 2025, Incentive Games explained its scoring: each pick carries a notional 10-point stake multiplied by the decimal odds, so a correct pick at 2.50 earns 25 points. bet365’s current page says only that points depend on correct selections and points players to the Tournament Challenge rules in its football help section.
Other entry rules:
bet365 runs ten matchday leaderboards: Matchdays 1 to 8 of the league phase, the knockout play-off round (both legs combined) and the Round of 16 (both legs combined). Each one pays the same prizes.

Incentive Games is an Edinburgh-based business-to-business games studio, and it has worked with bet365 since 2021. Its earlier bet365 games include Golden Goals, the 6 Score Challenge (BCP has a guide to the 6 Scores Challenge) and a 2025 Bracket Challenge in the United States with a $10m prize.
Preferred Team is the second social feature added to Tournament Challenge in 2026. The first was Your Leagues, introduced for the World Cup, which is covered in BCP’s World Cup Tournament Challenge archive. Last season’s Champions League edition is in our 2025/26 Tournament Challenge archive.
In 2025 the company also set up Incentive Studios, a real-money games division making Crash, Tower and arcade-style titles. It holds real-money licences in the United Kingdom, Michigan, Ontario, Pennsylvania and Alberta.
New customers in the United Kingdom can claim bet365’s Bet £10 & Get £30 in Free Bets offer. Our bonus code BET247 can be entered at sign-up; it does not change the size of the offer.
Welcome offer terms as listed by bet365 on 4 November 2026. BCP’s bet365 bonus codes page has the current sign-up details, and our bet365 Champions League hub covers the rest of the competition.
