Is bet365 or Dafabet an older gambling site?
When comparing these two gambling sites, let’s start from the start. Out of the two, bet365 is older. The roots of bet365 stretch back to 1970s Britain with a chain of bricks and mortar bookies on the UK high street.
Then in 2000, Denise Coates, the daughter of the original owner, used that business as leverage to expand into the online sports betting arena. A bold move for a once traditional gambling outfit.
But it was clear that the bet paid off just a few years later. By 2005, the company sold its offline bookmakers to Coral and committed its energies to online gambling. Coates still heads up the company more than 20 years after making that ballsy decision.
On the other side of the world, Dafabet was founded in Makati, the Philippines in 2004. It’s a subsidiary of AsianBGE, which owns several other brands.
Dafabet is probably the most well-known brand of the lot, but it also has Nextbet, Zipang Casino, Lucky Baby and Casino Jamboree under its belt. Although it has expanded its operations around the world, to this day Dafabet is more of a household name in Asia.

Over at bet365, the layout is pretty similar and very intuitive. The main difference here is that there are far more sports to bet on. When we were researching this article, the sports were tipping around 50 markets. Both sites offer in-play — or live betting — which is an essential touch in this day and age.
We really love the selection of promotions available at bet365. The offers change fairly frequently, but punters can expect various types of offers such as risk-free bets, accumulator bonuses, early payouts, as well as the best odds guaranteed for some premium events.
The offers at Dafabet are also pretty strong, which include free bets on certain markets and cashback. It’s also worth noting that Dafabet has a loyalty scheme for sportsbook customers, whereas bet365 doesn’t. Having said that, the strength and variety of the bet365 promotions more than make up for this, in our opinion.
Is the bet365 or Dafabet casino better?
Whether you’re a customer of bet365 or Dafabet or, indeed, both, we’re betting you’re pretty pleased with the casino selection across both sites. Playtech powers the online casinos at both of these major sites, which means you know that you’re going to get a certain level of quality.
However, there are still some differences between the two. As you might expect, both casinos focus heavily on Playtech slots. At Dafabet, we found just over 70 slots during our research. It was the same deal when it came to table and card games. There is a decent selection at Dafabet, but there are a few more titles at bet365. Interestingly, blackjack tables were absent as an option for regular casino games at Dafabet at the time of writing. However, it was available as a Live Casino game, which is good to keep in mind if you’re a fan.

If you’re in a region where you can choose between these sites, it might be obvious at a glance which one is the best one for you. For example, if you’re big into poker or bingo, it’s got to be bet365.
However, if you’re looking for somewhere to predominantly place casino and sports bets, deciding between bet365 or Dafabet becomes a little trickier. We have to say that the variety of promotions available at Dafabet is impressive, as is the option to join a sportsbook loyalty scheme.
