Battle Royale combines some of players' favorite elements from Sit N Gos and multi-table tournaments. As GG Poker claims on their poker room, poker players will “feel everything poker has to offer in an hour-long battle.” The game is inspired by Arena video games.
And as the name suggests, Instagram King Dan Bilzerian himself will participate in the Battle Royale. So stake your claim to be the very best and finish as the sole survivor.
In short, Battle Royle is a 100-player No Limit Hold'em Sit N Go that combines “fast-fold” poker with shootouts and bounties all in the same tournament.
Buy-ins for these events range from $0.25, $1, $3 and $10 with the top 10 guaranteed a prize. The more players you knock out, the larger the prize you will receive.
The tournament is divided into three distinct parts: A “Rush,” “Shootout” and a “Final Table.”
The tournaments start with 100 players on 6-max tables. As soon as you fold, you are off to a new table, where you will be matched with new players.
The Rush Zone only lasts for 15 minutes, so you better take a stand early on. If there is a tie after Rush Zone, the player with the most knockouts or most hands played will advance.
Any players that been busted will be eliminated from the tournament if they aren't in the top 50. Bounties from eliminated players will be added to the prize pool.
Once the tournament was been knocked down to 50 players, it will divide into ten 5-ring tables with the Shootout format, meaning one player from each table will advance.
Like the Rush portion of the Battle Royale, this level will also take just 15 minutes. If multiple players remain on the same table, the game will go into an “All-In” mode, where players will be forced all-in on every play.
The tournament will conclude with a 10-person final table. Make sure to play fast as seat selection advantages will be given to players at the final table who played the most hands during this round.
The third and final stage of the Dan Bilzerian Battle Royale will in the final table. All players who make the final table are guaranteed a prize with the tournament following a standard bounty tournament format.
A “chess clock” is given 5 minutes while blinds increase every 3 minutes once at the final table.
Prize amounts will be based on your finishing position, which will be based on a fixed percentage of the prize pool starting at 2.67% for 10th to 21.13% for first.
Below is the percentage allocated for each final position:
As is the case with most tournaments, 5% is set aside for the rake at most limits except for $0.25, which will be subject to a 4% rake.
