Does bet365 void injured-player bets? UK rules by sport

An injury does not automatically void every bet365 player bet. Compare UK basketball, NFL, ice-hockey and football participation rules and promotional limits.

An injury does not automatically make every bet365 player bet void. For a UK customer, the answer depends on the sport, exact market, participation requirement and when the bet was placed. A player who never participates is not necessarily treated the same as one who leaves after playing.

There is also a difference between a void selection, a losing selection and a qualifying promotion. Do not assume an injury guarantees a cash refund or a return as bonus bets. Start with the rules attached to the bet you actually placed.

Basketball: court time matters

The UK basketball player-betting rules say relevant players must be dressed and see court time for bets to have action, unless specified otherwise. Overtime counts for player props unless the market says otherwise. An in-play player bet remains action even if the player sees no further court time after placement.

Quarter player-performance bets are action if the player is active, dressed and sees court time, even if they do not play in the relevant quarter. First-basket and first-assist/rebound markets have separate starting requirements. These differences matter when an injury prevents a player returning for a later period.

As a hypothetical example, a player has already appeared in the game when you place an in-play points bet, then leaves with an injury without scoring again. The cited participation rule does not cancel that bet solely because there was no further court time. Other applicable market or promotion conditions still need checking.

American football: one play can make a market action

In the UK American football pre-game player rules, touchdown-scorer/player/team/match props and performances are action if the quoted player takes part in at least one offensive, defensive or special-teams play. Player kicking-points and longest-punt markets instead use active/dressed status. Quarter and half player-performance markets also have active/dressed conditions, irrespective of action in that particular period.

The same page says in-play player-performance bets remain action even if the selected player takes no further part after placement. “He left injured” therefore does not, by itself, establish a refund for a UK NFL selection. Check which participation rule applies rather than treating all player markets as one category.

Ice hockey: an important in-play exception

The UK ice-hockey player-props rules require relevant players to be dressed and see ice time for player match-ups, performances and scorecasts to have action. They specifically say an in-play bet is void if, after placement, the selected player sees no further ice time.

That is different from the basketball and American-football wording above. A pre-game bet on a player who has taken part and an in-play bet followed by no further ice time need separate checks. The official page also distinguishes goalscorer and other market conditions; this section is not a universal rule for every ice-hockey wager.

Football: a qualifying bet may continue with a substitute

bet365’s official UK injured-footballer explanation describes Sub On Play On. Where the eligible market displays its icon, a substituted player’s selection can roll over to the replacement at unchanged odds. If the replacement meets the required outcome, the qualifying selection can win.

This is continuation with another player, not an automatic injury refund. The UK help page excludes a selection whose outcome was already determined and a bet cashed out before the substitution. Check the visible icon and full applicable terms. Our football player-props guide explains the underlying market distinctions.

Does Prop Protect establish UK injury protection?

The Prop Protect terms reviewed for this article are explicitly an en-us page. They do not establish a UK customer’s eligibility. This guide therefore does not apply a US first-half or first-period promotional cutoff to a UK bet, or promise UK refunds as Bonus Bets.

That does not prove a particular offer is unavailable to every UK account. It means a foreign promotion page is not evidence that your UK selection qualifies. If your account displays an injury offer, check its own eligibility and terms, including how any return is paid, rather than relying on a rule copied from another jurisdiction.

What to check when asking about settlement

Keep the bet reference, sport, fixture, exact market, period and placement time. Note whether the player started or participated, whether the bet was pre-game or in-play, and which offer, if any, was attached. Ask bet365 support to explain the applicable rule for that selection; an injury report alone does not answer all of those questions.

For a multi-selection bet, do not assume that voiding one player selection always cancels the whole wager. Bet type and applicable rules matter. BCP’s Bet Builder guide covers that distinction separately.
