Friday: Bournemouth 2–2 Manchester United
The Premier League report records a goalless first half before Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty after 61 minutes. Ryan Christie equalised, a James Hill own goal restored United’s lead, and Junior Kroupi’s penalty levelled the score again after Harry Maguire was sent off. United did not hold either lead.
Saturday: wins for Brighton, Fulham and Everton
According to the official Saturday round-up, Danny Welbeck scored twice in Brighton’s 2–1 win over Liverpool. Fulham recovered from Zian Flemming’s opener to beat Burnley 3–1 through Joshua King, Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez. Everton beat Chelsea 3–0: Beto scored twice and Iliman Ndiaye added the third.

John McGinn and Ollie Watkins scored in Aston Villa’s 2–0 win over West Ham. Sunderland recovered from Anthony Gordon’s opener at Newcastle; Chemsdine Talbi equalised and Brian Brobbey scored the late winner.
