How can I best get my hands on some bet365 bonus bets? We take a look at some of the ways to claim bet credits on site!

What bet365 bonus bets actually are, how to claim them, and the rules that decide what you keep.
If you have landed here after searching for a bet365 free bet, you are in the right place. Bonus bet, free bet and Bet Credit all describe the same idea — a stake funded by the bookmaker rather than by you. Bet Credits is bet365's own name for them, and it is the term you will see inside your account.
They are worth having. They are also more conditional than the headline suggests, and the conditions are where people lose out: what counts towards releasing them, what you actually receive when one wins, and how long you have before they disappear.
This guide covers all of it — the current new-customer offer, the ongoing promotions open to existing customers, and the rules governing Bet Credits themselves.

Bet Credits are bet365's version of a free bet. They sit inside your total balance but are tracked separately from your own money, and they behave differently in three ways that catch people out: you can't withdraw them, the stake isn't returned when you win, and they expire after seven days.
Here's what that means in practice.
Deposit £10, settle £10 of qualifying bets, and you get £30 in Bet Credits. That's the headline offer and it's accurate — but it's the maximum case, and the mechanic underneath is a deposit match.
You qualify for 300% of your qualifying deposit in Bet Credits, up to £30. Your qualifying deposit is the largest deposit made in the seven days before you claim, and it's capped at £10. So £10 is the sweet spot: deposit £20 and you still get £30, deposit £5 and you get £15.
You also have to claim the offer within 30 days of registering.
Then you have to release them: place qualifying bets totalling at least your qualifying deposit (again capped at £10), and they must settle within 30 days of claiming. Miss that window and the credits are forfeited and the offer closes.
Credits normally appear within an hour of the settled-bet requirement being met.
Each bet needs at least one selection at odds of 1/5 (1.20) or greater. In a multiple, one qualifying selection is enough.
These don't count at all: cashed-out bets, Gaming bets, Free Bets, void bets, bets on boosted odds, in-play bets settled as a push, and Fantasy Sports entries.
There's also an anti-arbitrage rule worth knowing if you bet more than one selection in the same market. bet365 doesn't allow backing both sides to manufacture a release, so where you've staked more than once on the same market and fixture, only the largest cumulative stake on a single selection counts. Bet £5 on Man Utd and £8 on Chelsea in the same Full Time Result market and only the £8 counts. Add another £4 to Man Utd and the cumulative £9 counts instead. The same applies to repeated markets within a fixture, like Next Game in tennis.
No. Bet Credits are non-withdrawable. You have to bet with them.
What you can withdraw is the winnings, which land in your Withdrawable Balance. The credit stake itself isn't included in the return:
In this example, a winning £10 Bet Credit at odds of 3.00 returns £20 because the credit stake is excluded. The earlier qualifying bets use deposited money, which you can lose. If you combine Bet Credits with cash, the cash part of that stake is also at risk.
Yes — seven days from the moment they're added to your Bet Credits balance.
There's a wrinkle most people miss: the clock resets on the whole balance. If more credits are added while you're inside a seven-day window, the entire Bet Credits balance expires seven days after that latest addition, not on separate timers. A new credit extends older ones you hadn't used, but everything then shares one deadline — shown at the top of the account menu next to the amount.
If your balance fell and you haven't placed a bet, expired Bet Credits are the likely answer.
Credits count inside the total balance shown at the top of the page, so while they're live they inflate that figure. When the seven days run out they're deducted and the total falls. bet365 flags this itself as a cause of unexpected balance discrepancies.
To see what's actually yours, open the account menu: the balance splits into Withdrawable and Bet Credits. The Withdrawable figure is your real money. The headline total isn't.
Yes. A stake can be part Bet Credits and part Withdrawable Balance — useful when a credit doesn't match the stake you want.
The credit portion still isn't returned. A £10 bet at 3.00 funded with £5 credits and £5 cash returns £25: £20 winnings plus the £5 cash stake.
It depends on whether the bet ever had a chance.
So a void isn't automatically a reprieve. If the selection was live and simply landed as a push, the credit is spent.
Our guide to bet365's void bet rules covers voids more generally.
Yes, and the figure you see is honest. For Cash Out the displayed value already has the Bet Credits stake removed, so it's the actual amount reaching your Withdrawable Balance. No mental arithmetic.
If Cash Out isn't appearing at all, that's a market issue rather than a credits issue — see why bet365 Cash Out is unavailable.
Broad, but with real carve-outs. Credits can't be staked on:
Bets placed with Bet Credits also don't qualify for Acca Boost — that's the only boost affected. And credits can't be used in conjunction with any other offer, so there's no stacking with a boosted price.
Everything else is fair game: singles, multiples, accumulators, in-play and Bet Builder all work, because the limits are these carve-outs rather than the bet type.
Only if your account is fully verified. PayPal and paysafecard can't be used for the qualifying deposit, or to withdraw returns from Bet Credits stakes, unless bet365 has verified two accepted forms of your identity documents.
That's the most common reason an offer silently fails to trigger for someone who did everything else right. You can upload documents under Account menu → My Account → Verification, and our guide to verifying your bet365 account walks through it.
Check the top of the account menu, where the balance splits into Withdrawable and Bet Credits with the expiry date alongside. Then work through this list:
If none of those fit, check the bet registered at all — see what to do when your bet slip isn't showing.
You don't need a bonus code for the offer, but you can use BET247, our own bonus code to let bet365 know where you found this information on its customer offers!
