NFL Weekly Roundup

Continuing a Good Start

Just two teams remain with a 100% winning record after five games; the Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Vikings head into their Bye week still unbeaten. Arguably the most impressive start to the season though has been by the Washington Commanders, who sit 4-1 in the NFC East.

Back on Track

After two wins in the last two weeks, the Baltimore Ravens certainly look back on track after a relatively slow start. It was a massive win they had against the Bengals this week. The Arizona Cardinals also got back to winning ways with a huge win over the 49ers. Also looking better were the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars earned their first win of the season with a last gasp win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Gameweek 5 Shocker

The Seattle Seahawks had a week to forget. Heading into the week they were 3-1 and looking strong, But the unfancied New York Giants headed west and came away with an excellent 29-20 victory.

Still Struggling

It's the usual suspects struggling once again this week. The Carolina Panthers were well beaten by the Chicago Bears and the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints 2-0 starts seem a distant memory. It's also been a problematic start for the injury hit San Francisco 49ers, while the Cleveland Browns have plenty of issues to contend with. Cincinnati are probably the strongest of the one-win teams, but they need to turn that form around quickly.

Big Winners of Gameweek 3

The Texans, Cardinals, Cowboys and Broncos all enjoyed excellent wins this week, but the peerformance of the week this week goes to the New York Giants, who travelled to Seattle and came away with a 29-20 win over the formerly 3-1 Seahawks.

Trades and Team Changes

The trade market is buzzing with activity as teams look to strengthen their rosters. The Indianapolis Colts have made a significant change by starting Joe Flacco over Anthony Richardson, hoping that Richardson will benefit from sitting out temporarily.

The Las Vegas Raiders are under scrutiny for their offseason gamble on Gardner Minshew as quarterback, with narrow wins but some heavy losses highlighting ongoing issues.

The New York Giants surprised many by defeating the Seattle Seahawks without Malik Nabers, showcasing unexpected resilience this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars are seeing long-term positives with Trevor Lawrence having his best game of the season, despite dealing with defensive injuries.

It is change in New England though as the Patriots have reportedly stated they will start Drake Maye at QB this weekend, dropping Jacoby Brissett after a 1-4 start.

There's also pressure growing in Philadelphia, with Eagles fans calling for QB Jalen Hurts to be dropped in place of Kenny Pickett.

Top Game of Gameday 6

Washington Commanders (4-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (3-2)

One of the teams that have surprised everyone this season, the Washington Commanders, faced a team that were expected to dominate, but who have already lost twice, the Baltimore Ravens in what should be a fantastic game on Sunday evening.

Jayden Daniels has been sensational at QB for Washington, who have taken control of the NFC East. He will come up against a formidable Ravens offense that has seen Derrick Henry come to the fore in recent times. This one should be a cracker!

Prediction: Washington Commanders 17-28 Baltimore Ravens
