After more than ten months of competition, we have now reached the semi-finals of all three UEFA club competitions in Europe.
Just six teams remain in with a chance of landing one of the three trophies on offer; the Champions League, the Europa League and the newest competition of the three, the Europa Conference League.

Both teams have beaten each other this season in Serie A, Inter knocked Milan out of the Coppa Italia too but it is this set of two games that will be most keenly anticipated. I can’t split them at the moment and I think it may need the second leg next week to decide the winner.

This year’s Europa League Final takes place on Wednesday 31st May at the Puskas Arena Park, in Budapest, Hungary.
Jose Mourinho has a fine record in this competition and would love to follow up last season’s Europa Conference League win with a second European competition win here. Bayer Leverkusen are a side in form though and Xabi Alonso’s team have picked up some good results on the road and I expect them to do that here by earning a draw.

This should be a cracking game between two teams that have won this tropjhy nine times in total. Sevilla are special in this competition, winning it every time they reach the semi-finals. Juventus though are a formidable opponent and I can see this game heading into the second leg with all things level.

Fiorentina’s form has been very odd in this competition, playing poorly at home, but then losing away and then playing well at home and poorly away. However, at the business end of the tournament, I’d expect the greater experience of the Italian side to prove the decisive factor in this first leg tie.

West Ham’s win over Man Utd at the weekend sets them up nicely for this first leg tie at home to AZ Alkmaar who held Ajax to a 0-0 draw at the weekend. The Dutch team clearly have plenty of talent, but you’d expect the Premier League side to come through in the first leg.
