No new bracelet winners on Thursday means we put our focus on the ongoing action of a half-dozen events at the 2021 World Series of Poker.
Ben Lamb is in the driver’s seat for a bracelet in the $25k Pot Limit Omaha High Roller, the first two flights of the Senior’s event combine while Brian Rast and Eli Elezra threaten in the Nine Game Mix.
A look at these events and more in Friday’s WSOP report.
Ongoing action
Ben Lamb leads $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller
The $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller was completed Day 2 with 25 out of the original 215 entries surviving the day. It’s Ben Lamb who will go into Day 3 as the chip leader. David Benyamine, Shaun Deeb, Bryce Yockey, Jeremy Ausmus, Tommy Le and Jerry Wong are among the notables still alive in the event.
A big payday is set for those who continue to advance in the event with all remaining players guaranteed at least $44,807, while eight players will earn six-figure payouts with the winner earning an impressive $1,251,860.
Day 3 will begin at 2 PM PT.
Seniors event attracts field of 5,404 players
Survivors from the first two flights of the $1,000 Seniors No Limit Hold’em Championship met on Friday for Day 2. The two flights attracted a 5,404 entry field with 1,087 of those lucky enough to make it play on Friday, which got underway at 10 AM PT.
Geroge Bronstein started the day as the chip leader, followed by Dany Georges. Other notables still in the hunt include John Ceruto, Barry Greenstein, Kathy Leibert and Allen Kessler. Players will be playing for $4.8 million in prizes with $561,060 set for first place.
Brian Rast and Eli Elezra among top chip stacks in the 9 Game Mix 6-Handed
Day 1 of the $2,500 Nine Game Mix 6-Handed is in the books with 136 out of the 319 entries surviving the action on Thursday. Although Kao “Flexx” Saechao will hold the chip lead when play resumes at 2 PM PT, he has some big names such as Brian Rast and Eli Elezra hot on his tail in the top five. They will be joined by notables such as Scott Bohlman, David Williams, Maria Ho, Josh Arieh, Jon Turner and Mike Matusow with healthy chip stacks.
Upcoming events
Friday will see the start of the popular annual favorite, the $400 COLOSSUS No Limit Hold’em, with the first of two flights beginning at 10 AM (later delayed to 11 AM). Next up will be Event #56, the 6-Handed No Limit Hold’em Championship, starting at 3 PM PT.
After a 94 minute delay due to scheduling conflict with the seniors event and a shortage of dealers, we are underway in the @WSOP #Colossus
Will dinner break still be after level 12? Will they still make us play 17 levels? Nobody knows, and that’s what makes the wsop special

Getting close to “must’ve sat out WSOP in 2021 because he was anti-vax” territory on the hendonmob

Thanks for asking about my @WSOP plans. At around 9:30, after 48 hours off, ill play the $2,500 9-Game mix. I played a bunch of tourns since my 2nd place finish last Weds, didn’t cash, but I’m playing beautifully! The rest helps tremendously…Always the showman #POSITIVITY pic.twitter.com/nJXPq9v5wj
