Female poker players in 2022 really made their presence known.

Topping the GPI rankings for best female poker players in 2022 and ours too, Cherish Andrews is a United States player who has taken the poker world by storm. She ranks 48 for 2022 of all genders and she had a fantastic year.
Residing in Pennsylvania, Andrews nabbed her highest ever cash at the poker tables at the tail end of 2022. Her $259,200 win came at a World Poker Tour Championship event at Wynn Las Vegas. It was the No Limit High Roller, to be precise. And she won that score by coming second in the $10,000 buy-in event on 18 December.
Did she take the rest of the year off? No way, she followed up her stellar performance by netting a further $131,912 by coming first at another No Limit Hold'em event the very next day!
Will an end to 2022 like that, we reckon 2023 will shine bright for her too.
While Andrews' best performances of 2022 came in the winter, Angela Jordison's highlights were in the hotter months.
Female poker players in the 2022 WSOP had a big presence this year, as always. And their force is getting bigger. But one of the most interesting scores happened with Jordison's big wins.
Over the course of June, she had four cashes at WSOP. And that's impressive. However, three of her wins weren't huge, never tipping into five figures.
However, she had an amazing day during the No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Event #18 in Bally's Casino. During this two day $1,000 buy-in event, Jordison ended up turning her modest (for WSOP at least) buy-in into a huge $151,544 score by coming third in the tournament. It ranks as her best live cash of all time and is certainly one she'll remember!
Longtime player and PartyPoker team member Kristen Bicknell is no stranger to making headlines. And 2022 was a great year for her. During her career to-date, she's made an astounding $5,682,057. And although more known for her online play under the username krissyb24, she's had some great moments at live event poker too.
Over the course of the year, she's had eight five-figure wins. But the one we're going to talk about was her meaty six-figure pay cheque in May…
During the WPT Choctaw Championship in Oklahoma, Bicknell made a splash in the no limit hold'em event #9. The event took place from May 13 until 16 in the Choctaw Casino. With a $3,500 buy-in Bicknell ended up coming in 5th place to take down a $135,000 slice of the prize pool. Nice.
