Football accumulator betting at bet365: stakes, returns and rules
How football accumulators work at bet365, with cash-stake return calculations, void-selection rules, Acca Boost exclusions and the differences from Bet Builder.
A football accumulator links several selections into one bet. All the active selections must win for the ordinary accumulator to pay out. One losing selection loses the bet, even if the others win. Adding selections increases the potential return, but it also adds another result that must go your way.
Doubles, trebles and accumulators
A double contains two selections, a treble contains three, and a fourfold contains four. bet365’s football accumulator explainer uses “accumulator” for four or more selections. The same linked-return calculation applies to doubles and trebles.
How to place a football accumulator at bet365
Choose the odds for each selection and check the bet slip. On a full-time result coupon, 1 means a home win, X a draw and 2 an away win. Football multiples can also use eligible goals or both-teams-to-score markets.
Select the multiple you intend to place, rather than a set of singles. Enter your stake, check every fixture, market and selection, then review the combined price and potential return before confirming. The stake shown is for that bet: choosing several different multiples can increase the total amount staked.
Calculating the return: a worked example
For an ordinary cash-staked accumulator, multiply the decimal odds together, then multiply that figure by the stake. Decimal odds include the returned stake; profit is the total return minus that stake.
Suppose four unrelated selections have decimal odds of 3.00, 4.00, 5.00 and 6.00. Their combined decimal odds are 360.00. A £10 cash stake would return £10 × 3 × 4 × 5 × 6 = £3,600 if all four win: £3,590 profit plus the £10 stake. If one loses, the ordinary accumulator returns £0. These are hypothetical prices, not live odds or a recommended bet. No promotional boost is included.
What happens if a selection is void?
Under bet365’s UK terms, section 14, a multiple containing a void selection is settled on the remaining selections. In the example above, voiding the 6.00 selection leaves 3 × 4 × 5 = 60.00. If the other three win, the £10 cash stake returns £600, including the stake, rather than £3,600. Market rules, maximum winnings limits and separate offer terms still apply.
100% Acca Boost: eligibility matters
The UK 100% Acca Boost help page describes an automatic increase to winnings on eligible winning bets with two or more selections. The increase is up to 100%, depending on the selection count; it is not a 100% increase for every accumulator. Check the linked full terms for the applicable percentage, qualifying sports and markets.
The help page excludes selections below decimal odds of 1.10, bets cashed out below the full return, Bet Credits bets and accumulators using Bet Builders. Void or postponed selections change the qualifying winning-selection count. An Early Payout winner that would have lost at full time does not qualify for the additional boost. Eligible increased winnings are paid as withdrawable cash within 24 hours of the final selection finishing.
An accumulator is not the same as a Bet Builder
An ordinary multiple cannot combine related selections where one outcome affects another. bet365’s related-contingency rules explain this restriction. Do not calculate a same-match combination by multiplying its individual prices yourself.
Bet Builder combines available markets from the same fixture at a price calculated by bet365. Its rules differ from those for an ordinary accumulator, including settlement when a selection is void. Before confirming the bet
Check the stake you can lose, whether the return includes the stake, and the settlement rules for every market.
