We now know that it will be a Kansas City Chiefs v Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl that takes place in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday 12th February.
Wins for both in the Conference Championship games mean that the two number one seeds from each Conference will go head to head to get their hands on the Lombardi Trophy.
That means we have now reached the final game of what has been an incredibly exciting, at times frightening and often dramatic NFL Season.
Now with all the games played bar the biggest, now is a great time to take a look back over the course of the season and in doing so, we will give you our ten players from all positions on the field, that we think have been dominant forces in the NFL this season.
These are our NFL MVPs and we will explore the reason why for each selection too.

In his first three years in the NFL, Reddick look like a bit of a bust for the Cardinals, so they declined their fifth year option. But since then, Reddick has found his feet and after leaving Carolina in 2021, he has been the star of this incredible Eagles defense this season.
To understand Reddick’s value, you have to look beyond the 19.5 total sacks on the season 6 forced fumbles, four recovered, 49 tackles, 11 for a loss.
Reddick is a nightmare for offensive linemen. Fast, powerful, agile and quick, double teams don’t seem to work as they just open up holes for the Eagles other talented pass rushers to cause havoc in the backfield. Reddick is the reason that the Eagles have four players with double digit sacks this season and for that alone, he is my choice for MVP.
No player on offense dictated how his team fared more so than Justin Jefferson at the Minnesota Vikings this season. He racked up 128 receptions for 1809 yards and landed 8 touchdowns in the air, plus another on the ground.
He achieved all that without making a single fumble. He set the single game record for receiving yards for the Vikings against the Lions in Week 14 and also surpassed Randy Moss for the most yards receiving in his first three seasons as a Viking.
Since becoming the Chiefs quarterback, Mahomes has won 64 of his 80 regular season games, and ten of his 13 post-season matches. He has thrown for 41 touchdowns this season, for 5250 yards and added four more touchdowns on the ground. Simply put, Mahomes is an absolute superstar at quarterback.
He led the Chiefs to victory over the Bengals in the AFC Conference Championship game despite a high-ankle sprain and he has added four more touchdowns to his 45 achieved in the regular season. Measure it how you want, Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL at the moment.
The Philadelphia Eagles offense may have many weapons, but it is built entirely around their multi-faceted quarterback Jalen Hurts. He has led the Eagles to a 14-3 campaign this season, missing two games in which the Eagles lost. He has passed for a career high 22 touchdowns, while also being responsible himself for 13 touchdowns on the floor.
He has added two more passing and two more rushing touchdowns in the post-season and he is rightly being touted for NFL MVP this season given how much his influence has been the driving factor for this talented and Super Bowl-bound Eagles team.
The San Francisco 49ers boasted the best defensive unit in terms of stats in the NFL this season and Nick Bosa’s 18.5 sacks were a huge part of why this defense is so revered across the NFL.
Powerfully built, at times Bosa is an unstoppable force, often beating double teams to get to the quarterback and even when he doesn’t reach the quarterback himself, he will often open up gaps for his team mates to pressure or sack the QB.
Patrick Mahomes may carry the Chiefs offense on his back, but that workload is shared almost equally with his powerful tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce is not your usual tight end, he is an exceptional blocker but he is also Mahomes favourite target, scoring 12 touchdowns and making 110 receptions for 1138 yards in the regular season.
He’s also amassed three more touchdowns in the post-season this year and has a total of 15 touchdowns in the post-season as a Chief. Those stats are likely to improve after the Super Bowl this year too.
The Miami Dolphins gave up a lot to acquire Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs, and it is fair to say that had QB Tua Tagovailoa not been injured so often during the season, Hill would have amassed many more yards and catches than he did.
His first season in Florida was a huge success, even if it did eventually end up with the disappointment of missing out on the playoffs. That wasn’t down to Hill who once again proved almost impossible to match for speed.
After a 0-2 start, Joe Burrow led the Bengals to the AFC North title once again and also to the AFC Championship game, where they narrowly lost out to the Kansas City Chiefs, meaning they miss out on making back-to-back appearances in the Super Bowl.
What was most remarkable was that Burrow’s late season heroics were achieved without three of his offensive linemen and despite that, he still led his team to victories over the Ravens (twice in two weeks) and the Bills before their narrow loss in Kansas City.
Make no mistake, when it comes to elite quarterbacks in the NFL. Burrow’s name is right up there with the very best.
Stefon Diggs, Josh Allen and Von Miller may have been the name on everyones lips for the much-fancied Bills at the start of the NFL season but it was the somewhat unheralded and certainly under-appreciated Matt Milano who was, for me at least, the Bills stand out player.
While his critics may argue that Milano is solid rather than spectacular, he has matured into one of the best inside linebackers in the NFL and he hits levels of consistency every week, while steering clear of injury, that are hard to believe.
He had 72 solo tackles, 27 combined on the season, 1.5 sacks, 12 tackles for a loss and three interceptions for 84 yards and scoring one touchdown. He patted down 11 balls and recovered two fumbles. In short, Milano had an outstanding campaign and for me, was the Bills best player.
The Cleveland Browns season may well have petered out on the back of an ineffective offense and the loss of too many close games, but the individual performance of Myles Garrett was still outstanding.
Despite being double-teamed frequently, Garrett landed 16 sacks in the regular season, forced two fumbles and made 37 solo tackles. He was the standout threat for the Browns defense and his play deserved to be appreciated on a team with a much better record than the Browns managed this season.
