NFL Week 15 proved to be a good one for my tips, with a sizeable number of last week’s 16 tips coming in on the money.

Does that mean we had no shocks? Well no. Carolina stunned Atlanta as the Panthers ousted the Falcons 9-7 in a low-scoring affair.

Speaking of low scoring, the Raiders went from the ridiculous, scoring 0 points last week against the Vikings, to the sublime, racking up 63 points against the Chargers in NFL Week 15.

Things are looking incredibly tight when it comes to the playoffs now, especially for those Wild Card spots, with a huge number of teams around the 8-6, 7-7, 6-8 mark still in with a shout over the final three weeks of the season.

However, for a number of teams, these final three weeks of the regular season will be their last as they are now officially eliminated from playoff contention, while we also now have our first teams confirmed as qualified for the playoffs too!

We’ve also given our Power Rankings an update after this week’s results, so take a look at those at the bottom of this post.

NFL Week 14 Betting Performance From Last Week’s Tips

  • Winners (Season Total Winners) – 13 (138)
  • Losers (Season Total Losers)– 3 (70)

Now that is much better this week and in truth, it took a couple of shock results to stop me going 15-0 in the first 15 games of the week. Even so, I’m not being greedy, especially after the shock results we have had go against us in recent weeks, but this was much more pleasing.

NFL Week 15 Three Notable Performances – Team

NFL Week 15
Raiders decimated the Chargers
  • Raiders Smash Records In Crushing Victory Over The Chargers

Last week, the Raiders lost to a Vikings team that scored just three points and recorded a duck egg score. This week, they made amends by racking up an incredible 63 points with almost all of the fourth quarter remaining as they decimated the Chargers. They scored six touchdowns in the first half without allowing the Chargers to trouble the scoreboard and when the Chargers did eventually wake up, it was in garbage time in the fourth quarter. The result cost the Chargers head coach Brandon Staley his job, and their GM also went too.

  • Bills Continue Their Revival With Statement Win Over Cowboys

A couple of weeks ago, the Bills were at 6-6 and looking at an extremely tough schedule.  Two weeks later after NFL Week 15, they are 8-6, moving closer to the wildcard spots in the AFC and are in such good form that any of the teams that come across them in the playoffs will not want to do so. Jared Allen has come through his poor form of earlier in the season and the Bills now look like the team that many people had as potential Super Bowl contender. They beat the Cowboys easily here and if they can win out, they should make the playoffs where they will be a threat to any team.

  • Tampa Beat The Freeze To Win The Battle of the Bays in Green Bay

There are very few certain things in the NFL, but one of them is that when a Floridian team ventures North in the middle of winter, they are not going to win. Well, scrub that as in the NFL Week 15 Battle of the Bays, it was Tampa that came out on top as they defeated Green Bay in Wisconsin. Fantastic play from QB Gardner Minshew and WR Chris Godwin laid the foundation for the win and it leaves the Packers now once again struggling to make the playoffs.

NFL Week 15 Worst Three Performances – Team

  • Chargers Humiliation At Raiders Sees HC Staley And GM Fired

Brandon Staley’s tenure at the Chargers was on rocky ground already. Many fans felt the Chargers were under-achieving. Then the debacle in Las Vegas occurred and his position became untenable. It is worth noting that the Raiders racked up 63 points with the Chargers mustering just 7 and then Las Vegas basically shut down for the majority of the fourth quarter when the Chargers at least mustered some points. Staley lasted until NFL Week 15 as Head Coach of the Chargers.

  • Jets Offense Plummets To New Lows In 0 Point Defeat to Dolphins

Robert Saleh must wonder what he has done to endure such bad luck to his offense this season. Aaron Rodgers was brought in using up a big chunk of the salary cap and lasted four snaps before his achilles did likewise. Since then, Zach Wilson has struggled and then was out of this game early on which meant the ineffective Jets offense was even worse than usual. The Dolphins ran in 30 points and it probably could have been more.

  • Falcons Slip Two Behind Saints and Bucs After Dismal Panthers Loss

It has been a frustrating season for the Falcons. In an eminently winnable NFC South, they have led the way for most of the season. However, a number of poor defeats have seen them now overtaken by both the Saints and the Buccaneers meaning their playoff hopes are in jeopardy. Inconsistent play on offense has been a major issue for the Falcons, despite having some stellar players. Arthur Smith faces a make or break few weeks with his team. NFL Week 15 could be the one that defines the Falcons season and not for the better.

NFL Week 15 Three Notable Performances – Individual

  • QB Jared Goff (Lions) – 24/34 for 278 yards and 5 TDs.
  • RB Christian McCaffrey (49ers) – 18 rushes for 115 yards and a TD. 5 receptions for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns
  • QB Baker Mayfield (Buccaneers) – 22/28 for 381 yards and 4 touchdowns

Performers of the Week – NFL Week 15

  • Team – Las Vegas Raiders
  • Offensive Player – TE – Sam Laporta (Lions) – 5 receptions for 56 yards and 3 touchdowns
  • Defensive Player – CB – Brandon Jones (Dolphins) 5 Tackles, 2 Interceptions, 2 Passes Defensed
  • Special Teams Player – K – Ka’imi Fairbairn (Texans) 4/4 FG, 1XP (Including game tying and game winning field goals)
  • Rookie – QB – Aidan O’Connell (Raiders) 20/34 for 248 yards, 4 TD
