Super Bowl LX result and playoff paths: Seahawks beat Patriots 29–13

Seattle beat New England 29–13 in Super Bowl LX on 8 February 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Kenneth Walker III was named MVP. This archive follows both teams’ route to the final and the completed game; it replaces the pre-game preview and contains no current Super Bowl betting prices.

The result and quarter scores

The NFL’s official game summary records a 9–0 Seattle lead at half-time and 12–0 after three quarters. All thirteen New England points came in the fourth. Seattle’s sixteen-point winning margin and the combined forty-two points are different measures of the result.

Seattle’s route: NFC West winners to champions

Seattle finished the 2025 regular season 14–3, won the NFC West and earned the NFC’s top seed, as recorded in the Seahawks’ championship report. The first-round bye meant their playoff route began in the divisional round, not with a Wild Card game.

The club’s divisional-round report confirms the 41–6 win. The next round was the NFC Championship against the Rams—not an AFC game. Seattle then faced the AFC champion in the Super Bowl.

New England’s route: three playoff wins

New England also finished the regular season 14–3. The Patriots’ conference-championship notes place that record in the 2025 season, even though the playoff games took place in January and February 2026. Calendar year and NFL season label are not interchangeable.

The Chargers game notes confirm the opening win. New England then survived a turnover-heavy divisional game against Houston. The Denver recap records a 7–7 half-time score before a third-quarter field goal gave the Patriots the winning margin in snowy conditions.

What decided the final

Seattle kept New England scoreless through three quarters. Jason Myers made five field goals; Sam Darnold threw a touchdown pass to AJ Barner; Uchenna Nwosu returned an interception for a touchdown. Those plays, rather than the old preview’s projected score, belong in a record of the completed game.

The NFL’s MVP report gives Walker 135 rushing yards on 27 carries and 26 receiving yards from two catches. He did not score an official touchdown: a late apparent score was brought back for holding. An MVP award and a touchdown selection therefore should not be treated as the same outcome.
