David “Bakes” Baker takes down his third WSOP bracelet, while Anthony Koutsos and Karolis Serika win their first bracelets.
We will take a look at these victories as well as all the ongoing action happening on Tuesday and Wednesday at the 2021 WSOP.
After three days and 285 entries, David “Bakes” Baker is the winner of the $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw on Tuesday night. With the victory, Baker wins his third WSOP bracelet of his career and a first-place prize of $87,837.
Baker, who also passed through final tablers Peter Lynn ($54,286), Stephen Deutsch ($37,194), Kristijonas Andrulis ($25,971), Marc Booth $18,488) and Mark Fraser ($13,423) was understandably pleased to break his near-decade long WSOP bracelet drought.
“It feels amazing. I wanted it real bad. I don’t know what I was doing heads-up those last few times.”
Baker’s previous bracelets came during the 2010 $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw and the 2012 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Baker, who has accumulated $3.3 million in live cashes, has earned $2.7 million of that during the WSOP.
Real estate agent Anthony Koutsos is the winner of the $500 Freezeout No Limit Hold’em event, outlasting a field of 2,931 entries on Tuesday night to claim his first WSOP bracelet. Koutsos beat Charbel Kanterjian ($103,402) heads-up in a three hour battle. Rounding out the top five were Dongsheng Zhang ($77,600), Jonah Lopas ($58,685) and Sundiata Devore ($44,725).
Koutsos had just $29k in cashes to his name prior to the victory according to the Hendon Mob. The victory occurred during only his third WSOP bracelet event. In post-match comments, Koutsos said the following of his victory. “The money doesn’t mean much, it was more about the competition and the drive to win.”

Karolis Sereika is the winner of Event #37, the $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty No Limit Hold’em Freezeout early Wednesday morning, outlasting a field of 1,441 single the single day tournament. With the victory, Sereika becomes the first Lithuanian to win a live WSOP bracelet event, which accompanies his $195,310 first-place prize.
Rounding out the top five were Pedro Padilha ($120,700), Lorenzo Adams ($88,435), Pierre Calamusa ($65,494) and Steve Buell ($49,033).

Adam Friedman ended Day 2 of the $10,000 Dealer’s Choiceevent second in chips just behind Jake Schwartz. Action will pick up at 2 PM PT and when it does, Friedman will be gunning for his third WSOP bracelet in the event, having previously won in 2018 and 2019 (he also earned a bracelet in the 2012 Stud Hi/Lo 8 or better). Other notable players with chips include Mike Gorodinsky, Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matusow and Matt Glantz, who will be playing towards a $867,225 prize pool that includes $248,350 for first.
The $50k High Roller No Limit Hold’em kicked off on Tuesday with 72 players entering the event and 26 left at the end of the day. Action picked up again on Tuesday at 2 PM with red hot Michael Addamo holding a big chip lead over a field that includes Erik Seidel, who is second in chips, Dan Smith and Seth Davies.
Two new events are on the docket for Wednesday. First up is Event #39, the $1,500 Pot Limit 8-handed getting underway at 11 AM. This will be followed up by the $10,000 HORSE Championship at 3 PM PT.
PokerGo was originally going to take a break of their live WSOP coverage on Wednesday but due to popular demand will broadcast the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice beginning at 2:15 PM PT.
Tomorrow they will broadcast the final table of the $50,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller. Poker fans can watch the action live beginning at 8 PM PT with a subscription ($14.99 per month or $99 per year).
