You may well recall that bet365 Sport offered customers a range of fantastic deals and promotions for the recent Cheltenham Festival.

Well, coming up very shortly is the equally prestigious and arguably the most famous race of the horse racing season, as it will soon be the Grand National meeting taking place at the famous Aintree racecourse in Liverpool.

The most famous of courses will see a 40-strong field competing to follow such famous names as Red Rum, Aldaniti, Grittar, Mon Mome, Miinehoma and Tiger Roll into the history books as a winner of this famous race.

And the great news for racing fans is that Bet365 Sport have decided to offer punters the same two great promotional offers available for the Cheltenham Festival on the big race in Liverpool too!

Grand National – Factfile

  • The first Grand National was run in 1839 and was won by a horse called Lottery.
  • In the 1967 race almost every horse remaining in the race was involved in a pile-up at the 23rd fence, allowing 100/1 outsider Foinavon to be the only horse to clear the jump at the first attempt going on to win the race by 15 lengths at odds of 100/1. (See video below)
  • Red Rum is the most successful horse in race history winning it three times and finishing second in two other races.
  • Comedian Freddie Starr was the owner of the 1994 race winner Miinehoma.
  • Tiger Roll is the most recent two-time winner, winning in both 2018 and 2019. He is the first horse to win back-to-back National’s since Red Rum in 1973 and 1974.
  • Only four horses finished the 2001 Grand National, which was won by Red Marauder. Ten horses did not get past the 8th fence, Canal Turn after a melee saw them either refuse, brought down or unseat their rider.
  • Mr Frisk (1990’s winner) holds the quickest time in winning the race in 8 minutes 47.8 seconds.
  • Some of the most famous fences on the racecourse include Becher’s Brook (Fence 6 and 22), Canal Turn (fence 8 and 24), Foinavon (Fence 7 and 23), Valentine’s Brook (Fence 9 and 25) and The Chair (fence 15).
  • This year’s race takes place on Saturday 9th April. 78 horses are entered into the race but this will be cut to 40 by race day.

Bet365’s Grand National Promotions

If you want to enjoy an ante-post bet on the Grand National in the run up to the race, then the great news is that bet365 Sport have decided to offer the same two great promotions that they ran for the Cheltenham Festival on the race.

  • Best Odds Guarantee

With this offer, you can take the ante-post price on offer in the NRNB market for the Grand National at bet365 Sport and depending on which odds are the highest between the price you took when you placed the bet, or the starting price, you will be paid out at the higher price.

So, if you back a horse in the antepost betting market at odds of 12/1 and by race day, its price has moved out to 16/1, you will be paid at 16/1 if your horse is a winner. However, if the horse shortens in to 10/1 from 12/1, then you’ll still get paid out at 12/1.

  • Non-Runner No Bet

This is a fantastic offer for punters that love to have an ante-post bet, but don’t want to lose their stake if the horse they back does not race.

With this Bet365 Sport bonus, if you place a bet on any horse in the NRNB market for the race and for whatever reason, it does not start the race, then bet365 Sport will refund you your stake money back, rather than you losing the bet.

This is a great value option for punters, especially in a race like the Grand National which will often have almost double the number of entries as there are places in the race, so it is a super-value offer for ante post punters seeking to get a good price on their Grand National favourite.

Each offer has specific terms and conditions which we have outlined below:

Terms And Conditions

Latest Odds On The Grand National NRNB Market

With the weights now decided, Delta Work has been installed as the 8/1 favourite for the race with Any Second Now at 9/1 and Escaria Ten the 10/1 chance.

Last year’s winner, Minella Times is at 20/1 along with Mount Ida. While the likes of Enjoy D’allen and Snow Leopardess are 12/1, Fiddlerontheroof at 14/1 and Burrows Saint an 18/1 chance.

However, this years race looks very opoen with a whole host of horses rated as 50/1 chances or better and that does mean that we could be in for another cracking race on 9th April.

Good luck with whoever you decide to have a bet on!
