How to close a bet365 account: UK closure, exclusion and data requests

Closing a bet365 account stops ordinary use of that account; it does not automatically erase the personal data the company holds. If gambling is causing harm, self-exclusion serves a different purpose from ordinary closure. This UK guide separates those options and explains what to do about a remaining balance.
How to close your account
Bet365’s UK account-closure instructions give this route after login: open the Account Menu at the top-right, choose Gambling Controls, then Account Closure. Select the closure period and main reason, then press Continue.
The listed periods are one week, one month, three months, six months, twelve months and Indefinitely; there is also a specific-date option. Read the choice before submitting. For an online closure, a fixed period ends with automatic reopening; Indefinitely does not automatically reopen the account. It does not mean that the company has deleted all your records.
Save the confirmation for your own records. If the control is missing or the process fails, use official support rather than assuming that logging out or uninstalling an app closes an account. Never send BCP your password, verification documents or full account details.
Can you withdraw money after closure?
The same UK help page says you can still log in and withdraw a remaining balance after online closure. You do not need to gamble it away before closing. If access or payment fails, ask official support about that specific problem; an affiliate article cannot approve a withdrawal or promise a completion time.

Requesting deletion of personal data
Account closure and a request to erase personal data are separate requests. Bet365’s privacy policy describes a right to request erasure, subject to exceptions, and explains why it retains some records for legal, regulatory or other lawful purposes. Do not assume that an indefinite closure removes transaction, verification or self-exclusion records.
Send the request directly through bet365’s official contact route and explain which personal data you want erased. Keep your request and its response privately. Avoid posting identification or account information in a public comment, and ask for an explanation if the company says it must retain particular records.
