  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the longest regular season losing streak, which lasted from 1976 to 1977 across two seasons and totalled 26-games without a win. Coach John McKay is famous for his witty observations during this time, stating memorably in one interview “Well, we didn’t block. But we made up for it by not tackling.”
  • Jim Hardy, a quarterback for the Chicago (now Arizona) Cardinals, threw eight interceptions in 45-7 season opener loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in 1950. A week later, he threw a then NFL-record tying six touchdown passes in a 55-13 win over the Baltimore (now Indianapolis) Colts.
  • In 2018, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 54-51 in the highest scoring Monday Night Football game in history. It is the only time both teams have scored over 50 points in an NFL game.

  • Patrick Mahomes (QB Kansas City Chiefs) is the first quarterback to win six playoff games in a row without throwing an interception.
  • The Detroit Lions have played 12 games on the road in the playoffs and not won any of them.

  • Miami has hosted the Super Bowl a record 11 times. New Orleans is next with 10, although they will host the 2024 Super Bowl to tie things up.

  • The biggest comeback in Super Bowl history came in 2017, when the New England Patriots trailed the Atlanta Falcons 28-0, only to come back and land a 34-28 win in overtime to clinch the victory.
