Noteworthy Performances

Continuing A Good Start

The Bills, Chargers, Saints, Buccaneers, Seahawks, Vikings, Chiefs, Steelers and Texans are the only nine teams with a 2-0 record after two games.

Getting Back on Track

After surprise losses last week, the Raiders, Browns, Jets, Commanders, Cardinals and Falcons all bounced back to land a win this week.

Had a Gameweek 2 Shocker

There were plenty of big teams that went down to unexpected defeats this week. The Ravens move to 0-2 after losing to the Raiders. The much-fancied 49ers went down to the Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles were defeated by the Atlanta Falcons. The Detroit Lions were also upset at home by the excellent Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Still Struggling

Fans of the Titans, Bengals, Giants, Panthers, Jaguars, Colts, Ravens, Broncos and Rams are all still waiting for their team to win their first game of the season. Some of those teams may well have a while to wait just yet given their opponents next week too.

Big Winners

You have to hand it to David Carr and the New Orleans Saints offense. For the second week in a row, they top scored in the NFL, putting up an incredible 44 points on the Dallas Cowboys. Yes against THAT Dallas Cowboys defense. And they did it in Dallas too!

Saints running back Alvin Kamara played a key role with 20 rushes for 115 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 65 yards on the ground and another touchdown receiving.

Only three teams scored more than 30 points this week, the Buffalo Bills scoring 31 against Miami and the Cardinals racked up 41 points against the Rams. Rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. collected four passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns in a breakout game for the Cardinals top draft pick.

Top Game of Gameday 3

Houston Texans (2-0) @ Minnesota Vikings (2-0)

Two unbeaten teams with two excellent quarterbacks meet in Minnesota. The Vikings come fresh from a brilliant win over the 49ers, but have injury concerns over star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who missed the second part of that game. He is day-to-day but expected to start in this game.

The Texans have their own injury problems at running back with Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce both a doubt for this game. Cam Akers may deputise if the two first choice RB's are absent. Nico Collins superb start to the season has been impressive and he will be a major influence in this game.

This one will be close and it may even take overtime to separate the two, but I think the Texans just about shade this.

PredictionHouston Texans 27-24 Minnesota Vikings.
