So before we go into detail about some of the teams to watch as potential Super Bowl winners, let's take a look back at how the last season ended, the NFL Draft, Free Agency and pre-season.

In a game that swung to-and-fro between the teams throughout, it was the Kansas City Chiefs that landed a third Super-Bowl victory, from four appearances in the game, in the space of five years.
They defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 with a fourth-quarter comeback victory.
While it is too early to say how the Draft picks made in 2024 will fare, we've already seen some promising and not-so promising signs from rookies in the pre-season.
USC Quarterback Caleb Williams was the expected first pick for the Chicago Bears and so it proved with the quarterback stepping in at Chicago, who then let former first-round pick Justin Fields leave to join the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Williams was one of three QBs taken with the first three picks, the others being Jayden Daniels who went to the Washington Commanders and Drake Maye, who signed with the New England Patriots.
In terms of other first round quarterbacks, Atlanta took Michael Penix Jr. at number 8, with the Vikings taking J.J. McCarthy at number 10. Bo Nix was the last QB taken in the first round, going to the Denver Broncos at number 12.
Coveted Wide Receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr. joined the Arizona Cardinals when he was picked at fourth, while offensive tackle Joe Alt was snapped up the Chargers with the fifth pick.
There have already been a number of major moves in the NFL ahead of the new season. With many players becoming free agents, and others traded, it means a number of famous stars will be playing in new colours this season.
Some of the top trades and free agency moves this year include:
It can be tricky to predict which teams will be the ones that shine in the NFL each season. Every year sees one or more teams perform much better than expected, while others struggle.
However, we think the four teams outlined below are great options to consider in the Outright Winner market for the Super Bowl in 2025!
Kansas City Chiefs (6.50)
You don't reach four Super Bowls in five years, winning three of them, if you are not a dynasty. The Chiefs had barely rubber-stamped their second successive Super Bowl win last February before talk switch to the ‘three-peat'. With Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce still in tandem, Chris Jones resigned and some intriguing signings in the NFL Draft and during free agency, the Chiefs look set to be the team to beat once again.
San Francisco 49ers (6.50)
For the second time in five years, the San Francisco 49ers reached the Super Bowl, only to lose to a late fourth-quarter comeback by the Chiefs. Kyle Shanahan's team are arguably the very best in the league on paper. They proved they were comfortably the best in the NFC last season and will be there or thereabouts again. They also received a boost ahead of the season start by re-signing talented WR Brandon Aiyuk to a new contract, keeping him at the franchise for the foreseeable future.
Baltimore Ravens (10.00)
The Ravens achieved a lot last season, but didn't manage to lift the stranglehold that the Chiefs have on the AFC. Lamar Jackson was the NFL MVP and he has now got the fearsome running back Derrick Henry to support him in what was an already stellar running game for the Ravens. If Baltimore can step back up to the plate on defense and their offense fires, then the Week 1 opening game with the Chiefs may well be a prelude to the AFC Championship game later this season.
Detroit Lions (13.00)
Dan Campbell has turned a losing, struggling and frankly laughable franchise around. His worth ethic and leadership has been instilled throughout this exciting Detroit Lions team. They pushed the 49ers hard in the post-season last year and perhaps should have won that game. They have made some good signings in the draft and free agency while keeping their key players. If the Lions are going to reach a Super Bowl, then this year may be their best chance of doing so since the time of Barry Sanders.
