Given the disruption we have had to the Premier League season already, it is no surprise that there are a number of teams that have games in hand to play over the remainder of the campaign.

This week, 12 teams will be in action on Tuesday and Wednesday night as they seek to gain points to aid them in their quest at the top and bottom of the table.

In this article, we are going to take a look at all six games and give you a preview of the match, as well as what we feel are some of the best tips for bets on it.

Bet365 Sport will be the provider of our odds, all of which were correct at the time of writing, but which may have changed in the meantime.

So let’s now take a look at the games set to be played this week in the Premier League, which includes a classic game between two giants who have fallen on tougher times.

Kick off times are 7.45pm unless otherwise stated.

You can view the current Premier League table by following the previous link.

Tuesday 4th April

Bournemouth v Brighton & Hove Albion

A second win in three games handed Bournemouth three points and a spot outside the drop zone at the weekend, while Brighton were engaged in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Brentford, a game in which the Seagulls had an incredible 33 shots at goal, 15 of which were on target.

Brentford showed that the Seagulls can be caught on the counter attack and while Bournemouth are the home side, I would not be surprised if Gary O’Neill’s team follow a similar blueprint for this game, even if it means being deprived of the ball for longer periods.

That is a risky tactic as Brighton do create chances against any team and Bournemouth’s defence is the leakiest in the Premier League (55 conceded).

I strongly fancy Brighton to land the win here in this South Coast battle and Brighton to win and both teams to score looks a decent shout.

Top Tip – Brighton to win and both teams to score – 12/5

Leeds United v Nottingham Forest

This is a crucial relegation battle for both these teams. Leeds were thrashed 4-1 by Arsenal at the weekend, while Forest picked up a point at home to Wolves results which leave the teams in 17th (Leeds) and 15th (Forest) respectively.

Leeds recent form isn’t too bad, with two wins and a draw in their last five and there is no disgrace in losing to an Arsenal side eight points clear at the top of the table who have won their last seven Premier League games, scoring three or more goals in six of those games.

The home side have won just one of their last six home games, while Forest have not win in seven Premier League games, their last win coming at home to Leeds back at the start of February.

Three points here would be absolutely massive for either side in their battle against the drop but I think it is more likely that the home side will do just enough to land the win.

Top Tip – Leeds United to win 2-0 – 8/1

Leicester City v Aston Villa

With a caretaker manager in charge for this game,  how will Leicester City react to manager Brendan Rodgers being sacked?

They certainly need a response after a woeful run of form following the World Cup Finals has seen them drop down the table into the relegation zone at the weekend after a 2-1 defeat away to Crystal Palace.

In contrast, Aston Villa come into this game on the back of an outstanding 2-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in which Ollie Watkins once again found the net, with the in form striker being a key man for Villa at the present moment in time.

Leicester have drawn just one of their last six games, losing all the others and with Aston Villa winning four of their last five and drawing the other, I think the Villains will come away with the points here too.

Top Tip – Aston Villa to win – 9/5

Chelsea v Liverpool (8pm)

With Graham Potter now sacked, Chelsea will have a caretaker in charge for the visit of a Liverpool side who are in the middle of a desperately poor run of form away from home, including a number of heavy defeats against some talented, and ordinary sides.

Chelsea’s form isn’t great either, coming into this game on the back of a 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa but will a change of manager give the home side a bit of a boost against one of the teams that has emerged as a real Premier League rival over the years?

Certainly, the home fans will be more than up for this game given the rivalry between the two teams and with Liverpool so poor on the road here, you have to say that you cannot see Chelsea losing this game.

But after that shocking defeat against Manchester City at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp will be demanding a response from his team and he may get it here. Which means I think the draw looks a good option.

Top Tip –  Draw – 12/5

Wednesday 5th April

Manchester United v Brentford (8pm)

United’s home form this season has been excellent and they’ll have plenty to be motivated about for this game against a team that put four past Erik Ten Hag’s team in the early weeks of this season’s Premier League campaign.

The home side also come into this game on the back of another away defeat, this time to Newcastle United, so there will be pressure on the home side to pick up points as they have now dropped down to fourth spot in the Premier League table, and it could even be fifth if Tottenham draw or beat Everton in the Monday night game.

Brentford picked up a great point in an exciting 3-3 draw with Brighton at the weekend but it is hard to see the visitors coming away from Old Trafford with anything here as United have so much to lose if they do not pick up a win.

As such, I am backing the home side to get back to winning ways here.

Top TipBet Boost – Rashford & Weghost both over 1.5 shots on target & Man Utd to win – 6/1

West Ham United v Newcastle United (8pm)

West Ham were unconvincing against Southampton at the weekend, but Aguerd’s header gave them a narrow 1-0 win that moved them out of the drop zone and into 14th place in the Premier League table.

That said, David Moyes will know that one or two bad results could put his side back in the drop zone, so they will be keen to build on that win and with another home game, they would normally fancy their chances of doing so.

However, Newcastle United have bounced back from a poor run of form to win all their last three Premier League games, including a much deserved 2-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend, which doesn’t tell the story of how much Newcastle dominated that game.

So with that in mind, I think this could be a tricky one for West Ham here and I am backing the Tynesiders to land a win here.

Top Tip – Newcastle to win and both teams to score – No – 5/2
