On Wednesday, Phil Hellmuth got some revenge against Tom Dwan in their ongoing High Stakes Duel heads-up match. In winning the second match, Phil Hellmuth takes home a $400,000 prize after each player bought in for $200,000.
The victory comes some five months after Dwan beat Hellmuth during their first High Stakes Duel heads-up match. In that match, Dwan won $200,000 from Hellmuth after the pair bought into the heads-up event for $100,000.
With Hellmuth's win, he is now up a total of $100,000 against Dwan and $850,000 overall in the High Stakes Duel.
Within hours of the victory, Hellmuth revealed through Twitter that Dwan had challenged Hellmuth to another rematch.

With Hellmuth's victory on Wednesday, Tom Dwan had 30 days to make a decision on whether to request a rematch as part of the High Stakes Duel rules. He made the decision within hours with Hellmuth confirming the news on Twitter.
They will play Round 4 of High Stakes Duel III on a yet-to-be-determined date from the PokerGo Studios. The stakes will once again double, this time to $400,000 apiece. Interestingly, Hellmuth said that had he lost the match to Dwan he likely would not rematch Dwan.

Round 3 of the High Stakes Duel III between Phil Hellmuth and Tom Dwan kicked off at 7 PM ET on Wednesday.
Hellmuth started off the match with a small lead as he mixed it up in the early stages, which included an impressive fold by Hellmuth.
It then went back and forth until Dwan lost a big hand with Hellmuth beating him with 74o against his pocket tens. The hand gave Hellmuth a 3 to 1 chip lead, which he extended after turning pocket nines into a straight against Dwan's ace-high giving Hellmuth a more than 4 to 1 chip lead.
During the final hand, Hellmuth was dealt AK with Dwan holding pocket eights. Hellmuth went all-in before Dwan called. After a king hit on the flop, the rest of the hand were of no help at Dwan, cementing the victory for Hellmuth, who was gracious in victory.
โIt feels good. Tom is just one of the greatest players in the world. I like to use the term โnatural-born holdโem player.โ I think there are about 10 natural-born holdโem players in the world. Iโm one of the 10, for sure. What do I have, 13 world championships in holdโem or something? Plus, 50 final tables in holdโem. So yeah, Iโm one of them.โ
Initially, Dwan did not confirm that he would ask for a rematch although Hellmuth was confident that he would. “I know you're rematching. This time for $800k.” Just hours later it was confirmed that he would be doing just that.
