Fresh off winning an argument to dismiss a lawsuit against him for alleged cheating, Mike Postle was in an unusually cheery mood in his first comments after a celebratory round of golf. “Wow, that was a close one” said a smirking Postle before driving off on his 1993 White Ford Bronco.
We were later able to track down Postle in an exclusive-sit down as he was canceling his one-way ticket to Mozambique. “If anybody was ever going to cheat like this, hypothetically, of course, I always wondered if that person would ever get caught. I guess the answer is no,” Postle said before catching himself. “At least I think that would be the case.”
Future plans
As for his future plans, Postle indicated he is going to move far away from his local Stones Gambling Hall joint to play poker and research the latest in RFID technology. He presumes he will be blacklisted at his old stomping ground — and well because it doesn’t exist anymore because everybody else in the world thinks he cheated. “Actually, Florida seems nice.”
While he waits for the dust to settle, Postle exclusively revealed to BonusCodePoker that he also plans to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming an author. “It’s already got a title — If I Did It.” The book, which Postle says he has already written over three thousand pages, is currently being shopped to top American publishers.
“There is apparently a killing to be made in “If I Did It” publications.” Postle said the book would chronicle his childhood, what would have motivated him to cheat if he did it, and how he would have accomplished the cheating.
An update
Since this article was originally published, Postle has been arrested for breaking into a Las Vegas hotel room to steal his now-famous hat, which had been sold for charity. He is expected to serve 9 to 33 years in prison.
