Well, well, well. Who would have thought that the two teams with a 5-0 record would enter week seven having seen their first defeat inflicted upon them during Week Six?
Fair play to the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets whose wins over the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles respectively saw them deny both teams a 6-0 record.
Those losses means that things get even closer at the top of our new NFL Power Rankings this week, which also has other teams falling down the rankings, while others improve their positions after solid performances in Week Six.
Injuries have hit teams hard this week with a number of players beset by injuries including QB Justin Fields (dislocated thumb), QB Jimmy Garoppolo (back), QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle), DE Montez Sweat (thumb), LT Lane Johnson (Ankle), RB Christian McCaffrey (oblique) and WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder)
With a couple of very unexpected results in week six, next weekend promises to be exciting. You can get on the games with odds shown in this article, provided by bet365 Sport, which were correct at the time of writing,

Let’s now wrap up how Week Six panned out, as well as taking a look at how our tips for those games came out in the wash before we preview Week Seven in more detail.
Six teams have a bye this week; Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans.
A good week, notwithstanding the Eagles and 49ers handed me two unexpected losing bets. Still 12 others came in which is a healthy return on 15 total bets. That’s a great return on last week's tips and I would be happy with that percentage success rate continuing.
There’s six teams on a bye this week which means just 13 games to pick, which makes things interesting.
The Bucs and Lions had both just lost the one game heading into this game in Tampa but in the end it was a solid all-round performance by the Lions which saw off Tampa and ensured the Lions now sit with an NFL equal best 5-1 record after six games. The Bucs had too many players off form and with the Lions consistency and fighting spirit to the fore, they deservedly take control of the NFC North.
The New York Jets season was supposed to be over after Aaron Rodgers injury and after some Zach Wilson poor play in earlier games, the sights were on the backup QB. However the Jets engineered a great win here over the Eagles, managing the game very well indeed and ensuring that they always kept the Eagles in close reach. Some questionable play and calls on offense helped the Jets defense, but take nothing away from this big win, the Jets first against the team from Philadelphia.
Few people gave the Browns much of a chance to end the 49ers unblemished record this season but a sterling defensive performance, plus some opportune play on offense handed the Browns the win. Admittedly, the 49ers losing Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel to injury in the game played a big role, but don’t take anything away from this battling Browns performance as they showed plenty of heart with a backup QB at the helm.
The first half of the final London game of the year saw the Ravens dominate the Titans and Mike Vrabel looking almost astonished at how lacklustre his team was playing. However, a comeback followed in the third quarter as the Titans got to within touching distance and one score of the lead when Tannehill threw a poor interception, handing all momentum to the Ravens and ensuring the Titans could not earn a win in London once again.
New England Patriots season seemed to be unable to get any worse, that was until their hopes of an unlikely last gasp win over the Raiders was ended by a safety in their end zone. Mac Jones woes continued as he looks increasingly unlikely to be the long-term answer in Massachussetts. There was signs of some life on defense at times, but the Patriots are not far off being the worst team on offense in the NFL. If they are not already.
We Mentioned how well the Jets managed the game against the Eagles on offense and defense. It was a fantastic display by the Jets for sure. However, it doesn’t mask what was a hugely disappointing Eagles display with Jalen Hurts making a number of questionable calls and having one of his worst games as an Eagle. It was fitting the game ended on a series of poor plays and calls by the Eagles offense. This is a worry as the schedule gets much, much tougher over the next 7 weeks or so.
Perhaps statistically not the most significant performance but Etienne was hugely effective when called upon, keeping the Jags ticking over against the Colts and scoring two touchdowns on the ground to keep the Jaguars points total ticking over on a game where they had surprisingly little offense for 37 points.
Alongside Cooper Kupp, who added 148 yards receiving and a touchdown from 7 catches, Williams proved to be the main weapon in the Rams offense. He gouged the Cardinals defense repeatedly for big gains and he was a huge part of this key win for the Rams.
The Miami Dolphins offense keeps rolling as they rack up yet another 40+ points in a game, despite going 14-0 down early in the game. Wit Raheem Mostert adding 115 yards on the ground, plus three touchdowns in total, and Tyreek Hill contributing 163 yards and a touchdown, the Dolphins offense looks superb, and it is Tagovailoa’s consistency and decision making that is really helping the team win big at the moment.
Six teams are on their Bye Week on Week 7 – Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans.
